As always Jonathan Maberry has found a way to revisit previously created materials, situations and characters and make them seem fresh , new and exciting! An return to the world of Rot & Ruin brings new heroes , old friends and possibly the greatest threat to humankind ever!. The world is in the midst of it's death shudders and a painful rebirth. The accidental release of an biological agent has reanimated the dead. Passed thru bites or fluid exchange it's now mutating. New strains infecting humans and animals alike, along with severe biological changes to the flora and fauna has made existence for the non-infected continual battle.For those familiar with Joe Ledger or Rot & Ruin will see the return of old friends , human , non-human and zombie of various types! Because this novel has some major surprises I'm going to end this with -"if you're a fan of Maberry, Joe Ledger , Team Echo, and a lover of zombies from shambles to fast moving , talking one you need to read this! I can't wait for Book Two . All this seems to be headed to one helluva epic throw down. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
I didn't realize I missed Benny and his friends until I started reading this book!Gutsy is an amazing character! Can not wait for the next book!!
I would love for the author to stop with the political BS. It is ruining a series I enjoyed. I read fiction to get away from real life crap. I don’t want or need it in my FICTION.Please - stop. Stop with the extremist view. Stop with the political slant and lies. Just stop.
