Not a lot of information about the newer models from the early 2000s and forward - perhaps that will show up in a future volume.? But a great source of facts and details up through the RR Spirit and associated Bentley models.

I'll never have a Rolls or a Bentley, but it was interesting to read about them. The book is very well written and edited. When I got to the back I found out the author is a former editor so it was nice to read something properly punctuated and free of typos for a change.

Great book for family.

When I first read Uncommon, I knew it was the perfect book for my students: young men I teach English to in prison on the island of Trinidad. I hoped they would feel that this book was as special as I thought it was. They were blown away. They couldn't wait to get the Uncommon Daily Challenge by Dungy as well. Uncommon has become a guide for their lives. Every week my students are excited to tell me something they realize about their lives because of Uncommon. Their dream is to meet Coach Dungy some day.

Great read. Worth the time for anyone to pick up and read and learn from Tony’s wisdom and life story.

I like Jodi Picoult as a general rule, but sometimes the conflicts in her books are a bit contrived. This book about a dead newborn found on an Amish farm was a novel idea, combining the social issues perspective that Picoult specializes in, with the fictionalized accounts of Amish lives that are popular now. It was a great read most of the way through and I enjoyed it very much, until the end. The author seems to have started this tale with no end in mind and was grabbing at straws to conclude the story. This was especially annoying as I was propelled through the book by my interest in finding out if the baby was murdered or died of natural causes, and who murdered the baby if it was murder. The end simply did not ring true to the story. The ending put forth did not agree with many of the details that came before, and did not really make sense. This was sad, as it was a great story up until this point, and it deserved an ending that fit.

As a Jodi Picoult fan, I enjoyed reading Plain Truth and found the writing style, once more, to be highly masterful. The theme of this novel has to do with protecting someone, and its concern is specifically on mothers and children. The plot hovers around several mothers, although one of its main characters is Elly, the lawyer who has longed for a child for a long time.Katie Fisher, an Amish teenager has a baby out of wedlock, a fact too difficult for her to handle, as she doesn’t admit her situation until she goes into labor and bears a premature baby. When the baby is found dead in the barn, Katie is charged with murder, and Ellie Hathaway, the hotshot lawyer with boyfriend issues who is on a visit to her aunt in the area, accepts to defend her. The court case is highly complicated and Ellie’s defense of Katie, as to finding evidence, takes many forms and faces complications, until the plot presents a surprise twist at its end.The story is intricate and, despite its calm Amish town setting, full of tension and suspense, as its author reveals the story in tiny pieces, with every twist and turn undoing a revelation or taking it to a new direction. Any summary, therefore, cannot do justice to this multi-dimensional work full of mystery and rich, dramatic characterization.Some of this excellence comes from the point of view shifts, as each chapter provides a different first person or limited third person point of view by each important character, with several chapters using the omniscient POV. Through this change in POVs, the readers get to know the characters inside out.

This was another book recommended to me by a friend as something I might enjoy reading while on holidays. Ally, my girlfriend, has been telling me for a while that Picoult is a terrific author and if Plain Truth is anything to go by, Alison is right.This is well-crafted tale, gripping and moving, set mainly in the Pennsylvannia, in the Amish community of Paradise, where, one morning, a dead baby is found in a barn. No-one knows how it came to be there and no-one lays claim to the babe. Police are called in and quickly identify not only the young mother, but the shocking possibility the infant was murdered.In another part of the country, lawyer, Ellie Hathaway, is confused about her relationship and her professional life. As a defense attorney, she’s often called upon to defend the indefensible and, when her last very high-profile case finishes, she needs time out to recoup and rethink all aspects of her life. She feels like her ethics, sense of self and what she wants from life have been compromised. She escapes to her Aunt’s house near Paradise and finds herself drawn into the case surrounding the murder of the baby.Working pro-bono, she reluctantly becomes more involved than she ever intended when she takes responsibility for the suspected murderer, a young Amish woman, Katie Fisher, who is unmarried and maintains, despite all evidence to the contrary, that she never had a baby. Confounded by this teen, as well as by the Amish way of life, which stresses others over the self and work over leisure, she calls in an old friend to help – what she doesn’t yet understand is that the young Amish woman isn’t the only one needing aid.This book like so many good ones, draws upon a range of genres to tell its tale. I mistakenly thought it was going to be a crime novel and, while a crime does take place, and a portion is reserved for the fascinating unfolding of the case in the courtroom, it isn’t only these things, but so much more. It’s about human relationships, family, the bonds that unite and tear us apart. It’s about choices, love, loss, about humility, community and faith. It’s about the way the modern world makes us selfish and afraid, but also how denial can be both a blessing and a curse. It’s also a novel about generational difference and the power of female friendship and trust.At the centre of the story are two women – both strong and remarkable but for the moment, lost. For some reason I view reading Jodi Picoult's books as a "guilty pleasure". I mean, I don't have to work that hard to read them - they are written simply and are easy to understand - so perhaps that is why I tend to underrate them.But this is a really good book. The story of a young unmarried Amish woman who gets pregnant and then is accused of murdering the infant so that she is not shunned from the Amish community and the attorney who is representing her; a 39 year old unmarried woman who wants nothing more than to have a baby.Although somewhat predictable, the story is well told and the details of life among the Amish people was really fascinating.This is the fourth or fifth book by Jodi Picoult that I have read and I think was my favorite (although I thought Nineteen Minutes was really good as well).This was a fast and easy read and I would recommend it to readers who are not looking for that Pulitzer Prize winning experience.

This book starts out with a sane, successful & happy woman. She goes bat s** t crazy when she finds out her husband had an affair. Only woman this ever happened to, right? She pulls herself together and then discovers he lied about how long the affair was going on. Again, who would have guessed this? She goes completely psycho in the opposite direction. On the very last page the author tries to make her sane, successful & happy again.

This book definitely had some funny LOL parts but I found most of it to be predictable. The entire time I’m picturing Drew Barrymore (or some Hollywood actress) star in this chick flick. If you are into chick flicks, by all means you will enjoy this book!

The author writes brilliant sentences and a really, really trite story. Her story lines in no way compares to her charming, witty dialogue. Let me know when she gets it together.

Summer read

So good. I ordered her earlier book when I finished this one.

This book starts off fast and fun. Then it meanders all over the place but it remains a fun read throughout.

This book had so many problems I don't know where to begin. The main character, Raney, is one of those super lawyers who is also the world's best mother. She is the (youngest) partner is a white shoe lawyer firm in NYC, regularly working 60+ hours a week while being able to attend to her fifteen-year-old twins every need. As an attorney, I can tell you this just doesn't happen in real life, unless someone has some help, none of which is explained here.There is also a problem with the time and simple math. When we meet Raney, she is thirty-seven years old, meaning she had her twins just before starting the best law school (her description). Equally impossible. Later, she says she started the firm when the twins were one year-old, meaning she was at least twenty-six at the time.Her husband Aaron is an entomologist and, equally improbably, writes a best seller about bugs. From there he goes on to have a successful show on PBS.Raney finds out that Aaron is cheating on her and decides to implode his life. She calls in six paralegals from her firm and asks them to preform illegal activities, such as identity theft and no one blinks an eye. This is supposed to be the funny part. It never comes close to suspended disbelief. Perhaps my favorite line from this part is Aaron complaining that her actions are harming his sponsors. PBS shows do not have sponsors.The book becomes a hard slog to continue from there. The biggest problem was I didn't care about any of the characters. This is not the light, funny beach book it is made out to be.

Can I give a 5 star rating for PART of a book?!? I was ALL-IN from page one of this book. The beginning was so fast, so awesome, with such manic intensity - I was like, this chick is BAD ASS! I TORE through the first quarter of this book. And then... meh. I guess we needed a bit of a breather because the first quarter of this book is one serious wild ride. It got back to it's intense awesomeness almost mid-way through, but then I felt it just got sappy and fizzled.I need a book about JUST the Raney Moore in the beginning. She is NO JOKE. High-powered attorney Raney Moore has it all. Shes partner at her law form, he husband is a famous bug guy, and shes got twin teenage girls who are the light of her life. She's wealthy, and can have anything she wants. But she already seems to have it all. Or so she thinks. When Raney finds out her life is not as perfect as she thought - in less than a split second she turns into a jilted-wife phsychopath - and goes balls-to-the-wall revenge-mode to destroy the cause of her pain. But may in fact destroy everything good in her life. You don't even see it coming. I was riveted by the endless access she has to everything you can imagine to carry out her plans. Money, researchers, cars, hackers.... you name it. Don't mess with Raney. You cross her and you will be in SERIOUS trouble.I read a lot of reviews that people didn't like the book because they hated Raney. I think some of the best books are when you have intense feeling for a character. Good OR bad. Raney was a character I couldn't get enough of. There's another almost equally manic scene in the middle where she is in a dressing room, and the crazy, intense Raney (with yet again, resources aplenty) returns and I am once again enthralled with her.But unfortunately, after about mid-way it just fell flat to me. A lot of the dialogue is hilarious. It's witty, fast and keeps your attention, but the rest of the story just wasn't what I wanted - what I craved. I wanted more Raney. I didn't want her to try to change herself, or be a better person. Eliza Kennedy shouldn't have written the old Raney as such an incredibly intense and off-kilter character because she made me fall for her - but then she took her away! (sad face)I'd kill for a prequel. To see Raney as she emerges into the person she was in the beginning of this book: her start at the law firm, her rise to Partner. Give me that Raney All. Day. Long.

I enjoyed the book and recommend the book for beginners. Very educational. It was written so anyone who want to learn about body language could understand.Book is giving you an idea how human psychology works, basic knowledge about body language, types of personalities, I really like the part about simple and straightforward tips on body language and how to notice them.

This is the book for you if you've always wanted to know something about non-verbal communication. "This new guy seems really nice, but there's just something about him.........." This book will teach you how to read what's up with your co-worker's habits, and body language. It also explores different personality types.....interesting. Good aid in helping understand others and improve communication.

How to Analyze People is a well written book about perception and how to see the meaning behind what people convey. Sometimes people say one thing but their body language tells us something different. I used to be indifferent of all this until I got the chance to download and read this book. Now I know better and I am more conscious of what I see as compared to what I hear!

Good book, everything was explained very well. The detail in every step was remarkable. Most college business classes use the same formula but Mr. Sutton expresses another side of it. From his perspective. I recommend it to anyone who desires a better direction to go when it comes to others.
